I love Death Cab for Cutie and their last album has some really fantastic songs on it. This one is called “Doors Unlocked and Open.” I want to listen to the chorus over and over and over and over in the car with the windows down, wind blowing my hair, and the sun setting off to the side. Perfection. Can you see Michael Stipe’s face on the right in the red and gold? Looking at the book itself, his face is totally covered up. But when I edited the pic and bumped up the brightness, you can see it in this picture and it’s super eerie.

This is a tiny journal I made to do a swap with my Get Messy friend, Vanessa. I’m super excited about the size and the contents. I’m working in this one and she’s making one and then we are going to swap and finish and keep one. I love getting to do this work with these people. So good.

So I’m at DragonCon this weekend. It’s just me and 80,000 of my closest sci-fi friends. I’m thinking about Doctor Who and how much I love the show and would enjoy a ride in the TARDIS. Hard cord nerding, starts tomorrow! Woo!
