My friend Katie, of Punk Projects fame, and I are doing shared journals. She’s making one and working on it and then sending to me to finish and I’m doing the same. Except…Another friend on Instagram said she wasn’t sure what to do with her stamps she made for the #100dayproject. She had made a beautiful lotus so I said I’d trade her something. I traded the blank journal I just made for the stamp! Total Win. Good thing Katie thought it was as hilarious as I did!

Season of Music for Get Messy has just started! I bought a coffee table book on the band REM a few months back and I thought I would use it for the Season of Introspection. I ended up doing almost none of the prompts for that season so I was left with this fantastic book to use for the Music Season and it couldn’t be more perfect! Looking forward to making a big mess in this book.

This cover is an upcycled a piece I made a while back that was a super awkward size (24×12″). It is acrylic paint that I used a brayer to roll on and a bunch of stencils I was playing with. I love it on the cover of my Season of Music altered book. This is a close up of where I stamped “Season of Music” on the cover.

This book is 20.5 inches wide when it’s open. It’s really stinkin’ hard to get a photo of it on Instagram. I’m hoping folks take a look at the pages here where I’ve biggerized them. Also, I love Michael Stipe’s dog’s crown I drew. I’m not gonna be over that for a while.

Trying to keep this from looking like either Christmas or Halloween with the colors is quite the chore. Anxious to see how this one develops. It’s as much of a mystery to me sometimes as it is to everyone else.
