Here’s an update on what I’m working on in November 2026, which for a big part of the month I’ll be doing from a deck chair.
What I’m working on – November 2026
I’m lucky enough to be onna boat as I write this. My partner and I are on a transatlantic cruise and today is our first at sea day. While we’ve cruised before both as a couple and individually, this is the longest trip we’ve taken on a ship. I expect that I’ll have more to say post-cruise but for now we are enjoying the leisure time.
Where you can see my work
The Ghosted show has ended and I currently have nothing on display anywhere. This is an extremely odd occurrence for me this year. I’m pleased with the number of things I’ve had out this year and while I wouldn’t call it CV padding exactly, I wouldn’t not call it that either.
Open calls I’m working on
I found one last open call before October ended that I applied to. I submitted Three of Wands. I’m skeptical that it will get in because it’s at the boundary of being too big for the show. I’m supposed to hear back by November 7 so I’ll know soon enough.
Paper Things
The only paper things I have going on for a bit is the travel journal I’m keeping and I’m being rather lackadaisical about that, mostly because we’ve been on the go for the past week.
Crochet Things
I did finish my Starbrella confetti shawl in the airport on the way to Spain. My partner and I were sitting at a bar and I was crocheting while every single one of the dudes (and there was a significant number of them) were on their phones.
I’ve brought several pieces to work on so I’m not out of yarny things to do on the voyage but I’ve also not had time to work on any of them. I’m hoping to find a nice spot to post up and post up.
What I’ve been reading
Finished Rest Easy by Ximena Vengoechea and it was an easy read with some hard to execute ideas.
I started Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkman and so far it’s been rather common sensical but I’m only on Day Three so maybe it’ll get…harder? seems like the wrong word but something that I don’t already know, I guess.
