Love the dragonfly paper and the gold 4 from my Summer Art Bento Box. Stephen took his coffee to my computer this morning and he came back apologizing about spilling coffee on some of my “special paper.” I was still half asleep so I wasn’t really sure what paper he was talking about since my work space is pretty well covered in stacks of paper. I got to the studio this afternoon and found this gray and black sheet (the background sheet, upper right) with a beautiful coffee stain and tear in it. Happy accident.

I’m done with hate. Done. With. It. After the shootings yesterday and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony acceptance speech/sonnet last night. I needed to work out my feels.

A bit of a break today to make a little book using Tori’s tutorial over at Art Bento Box. I used some of my watercolor’s that I made during the May #foxandwatercolour challenge from Torrie’s blog.

I took a break today from nearly everything. I sat and read and talked to my kids and ran some errands and generally goofed off. I started this shawl pattern that I love with some yarn that I love but which clearly don’t work together. Try again tomorrow.

After this rough week and feeling overwhelmed by the news and life and summer, I’m just thinking about peace and how I can contribute more peace.

I’ve been working on this one all week. The Get Messy prompt was hard and I resisted. Season of Introspection is hard, ya’ll. I’m glad to say I’ve got this one in the book though.

Branching out with my backgrounds to include a little bit of color. Love how this one turned out.
I just read about you and your art on cayleegrey. Ronnie shared the link on her Facebook and I’m so glad she did (I used to live in Arkadelphia and had the pleasure of knitting with her many times). Your work is beautiful and you wrote so passionately about it! I am so inspired. Thank you!
Christina, thanks so much for your thoughtful words!
