This yarn is so squishy and soft and slippery. While those qualities make an excellent finished garment, during the making those qualities are quite maddening. This is me playing with the size of the hook I was using. I used a 9mm hook on the top swatch and an 8mm hook on the bottom swatch. I definitely like the openness of the stitch pattern with the larger hook. This will work up fairly quickly now that I have a good idea of how to make it work.

I bought some oil pastels and I LOVE this effect I’m getting from them on top of the acrylic paint.

Elena Cremona contacted me when I posted this pic this week on Instagram and asked me if I’d like to submit work for an upcoming issue of Archive Collective Magazine. I’m so excited that my work is going to be featured in the upcoming Nature issue. More details as they become available!
