“Monochrome for Jean”
(found paper, thread, pieces from a disassembled photo slide, a ginkgo leaf, acrylic paint, graphite, & ink)
12×16″ Framed work on canvas, no glass. For Sale: $175
At the beginning of February 2017 I took a master class with artist Jean Hess on collage at the Huntsville Museum of Art. Jean was delightful and the class was perfect for me. I came away with a renewed sense of purpose.
This piece I worked on during the workshop and then in the week following. It’s another one of those pieces I look at and wonder, “Whose hands made that?”
This piece was a part of the Red Clay Rejects exhibit at Lowe Mill on July 8, 2017.
