Last week I blogged about the zine I received from the Zine Squad. Here’s a look at the zine I participated in to gift to Essie Ruth. The theme of this zine was “Circus” so when I found a circus paper pack in the closeout section of my local paper store I was so dang excited. It had a ton of stickers and a bunch of paper that really made for some cool additions.
I always have to get a book page in there. I added King Arthur from my altered book under the “Celebrate” arrow. I may never be out of those pages. Also, gotta have a tiger in there.
I love the saying “Not my circus, not my monkeys.” It’s a reminder to mind our own business. I had this gelli print that really matched the opposite page so I was pretty happy with the way that turned out.
I went and bought a box of animal crackers so I could cut up the box.
And the last page where we all signed it. So fun! I LOVED getting to participate in this project.
Check out Vanessa, Jules, and Katie’s blogs to see more pages and what they had to say about their part of the process.
I love what you added to this zine!
Thanks! I loved getting to do it and hope I get to do it again!!
