Everything is a lot right now. I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of days. Everything is a lot and it’s happening all at once.
What can we do? I’ve been thinking about that a lot too since I’m at home all the time now. I’ve done some online volunteer work for different groups. I’ve donated some money to a few different groups. I’ve sent postcards to friends. I’ve cooked and delivered some food.
But art is what I really do. So I thought maybe I should make a post with a handful of uplifting pieces in it. I hope it helps you today.

Proverbs 16:24
Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

Loafe with me on the grass – Walt Whitman (from “Song of Myself”)

John 14:27
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

A prayer from Nadia Bolz-Weber. You can read the text here.

and if you’re not ready
to bloom for them,
(to show them who you really are)
then bloom for yourself.
bloom internally.
bloom so much that buds fall from your bones
and earth breaks beneath your feet
