“Prithvi Highway” 18×24″ (found paper, acrylic paint, oil pastels, & pencil)

Unframed work on paper.

The Prithvi Highway from Kathmandu to Pokhara snakes down through the mountains, providing both unbelievable views of the mountains along with a heaping portion of dust for my nose and eyes. What is lush and fertile during the summer months is bone dry by November and December. The last time I was in Nepal was November 2013. I think about the mountains of Nepal nearly every day. I find my self replaying the hours spent riding the bus and feeling overwhelmed by the size and beauty of the mountains.
